This session is so special to me because it was for one of my dearest friends. We met as freshmen at Virginia Tech oh so many years ago. I was overjoyed to learn that she was having a baby girl and pursuaded her to let me take some maternity photos of her when I came down for the baby shower. She lives in a very quaint suburb of Charleston known as Daniel Island. Trust me when I say that this town looks like the movie set for "Pleasantville". Because I'd be arriving right before sunset on a Friday evening (and the rest of the weekend was jam packed), I had no time to location scout. Luckily, my friend had a few spots in mind. She quickly selected three gowns from the collection I brought with me, we jumped in the car and headed first to a local park on the water. From there we found a live oak along the road, placed her underneath and snap, snap, snap. Finally, we headed to the river bank just in time for sunset under the pier. It was a lot of fun shooting in new locations. As scenic as these were, I spotted the most gorgeous spot while on a jog before leaving town. Till next time!
