I first met this momma when I did her maternity photos back in July.  She was totally glowing and looking forward to the birth of her and her husband’s first child, a baby girl due about six weeks later.

They were on the fence about doing newborn photos because the traditional posed newborn photos did not feel authentic to their family.  After talking through the options with me, they decided that a lifestyle newborn session was the way to go.  I was thrilled with that decision because I love doing lifestyle newborn sessions.  I love capturing the joy and emotions of a growing family.   There is something so emotive in a photo of mommy and daddy literally breathing in their new little one.

This family was so special.  We got lots of snuggle shots, baby toes, kisses from doggie, and images throughout the darling nursery that mommy and daddy so lovingly designed in hues of pink and green.

Baby “A” is a little beauty.  She’s a gorgeous mix of her mommy and daddy.  I see some of daddy’s features mixed with mommy’s coloring.  I wonder if I’m right?  I always find it so interesting how babies will look like one parent at one stage and then the other parent at a new stage down the road.

It was such a joy to be included in this special time for this new family.  Thank you for letting me capture these moments for you.  Here are some of my favorites.
